PTO: A valuable resource for parents

Our PTO supports the children, teachers and staff of the school in three ways:

  • acting as a bridge between parents and staff
  • providing dedicated volunteers needed for many in-school activities
  • raising funds vital to the excellent education received at Sacred Heart of Jesus School

The PTO is the best way to stay connected to what’s going on in your child’s school, get to know other parents and help ensure that your children have yet another outstanding, faith-filled educational year.

At every PTO meeting, members get an in-depth report from the principal about what’s going on in the school. God has given each of us talents and gifts. The best way to teach our children the importance of service to others is through the example of volunteering.

We hope you’ll consider becoming a member and join us. PTO meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Andes room. 

In accordance with the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland’s Policy for the Safety of Children, volunteers who will have contact with children or young people are required to complete volunteer requirements. Please note that this is NOT required to be a PTO member, only for volunteer purposes. Visit the Sacred Heart Parish website to learn more.

All fundraising efforts benefit Sacred Heart of Jesus School. The PTO directly funds the following:

  • field trips for all classes
  • tech-based education programs
  • academic contests
  • playground renovation and equipment
  • school carnival
  • Christmas program
  • teacher supplies
  • Gradelock
  • 8th grade diplomas
  • so much more!
