A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL dated March 13, 2020:
Dear Sacred Heart Parents/Guardians,
For the next few weeks we will be in uncharted territory for both our school and your home. We will try our best to continue the education that your son/daughter has been exposed to this school year. We are trying to be as detailed as possible, with all assignments, to ensure that the key concepts and knowledge base will be re-enforced and built upon. The communication will occur through our students’ classroom teachers in one of the following ways:
* Google classroom
* Grade Lock
* Students Gmail (6,7,8th)
I will notify you of important information over the phone, through email blasts, or on the web page. Our staff met after school on Thursday to begin planning for the next 3 weeks. An abundance of materials will come home today (Friday, March 13) along with the instructions from the teachers. More information will be sent home through the communication tools listed above. ChromeBooks will be sent home with our 7thand 8thgraders. A survey will be sent to your email today to ask about the need for a ChromeBook. Mrs. Workinger has arranged for pickup. ChromeBooks for students in grades 3 through 6 will be available on Monday or Tuesday.
Directions to log onto Google classroom along with your child’s user name and password will be in your child’s book bag today.
Mrs. Hevener & Mrs. Gerschutz will present several math lessons (5-8) on line through Google classroom. Miss Russell will do the same with our 5ththrough 8thgrade science classes.
All teachers will be available through their emails and other avenues of communication.
Please don’t hesitate to call me with concerns or questions.
This time, even though it is a challenge, can provide opportunities for all of us to grow.
We pray that this containment effort will be successful, and that we will see all of our students on Monday April 13th.
The Reverse Raffle has been rescheduled for Saturday May 9th.
Stay Healthy, Stay Safe, Stay Strong, Keep the Faith and God Bless!
